The next essential step is to visit the local immigration office near your Mexico address to apply for the Mexico Residency Card.

The DIGITAL FMM for canje is required when you obtain a Temporary or Permanent Resident Visa at the Mexican Consulate. After the visa is affixed to your passport, the next step is to verify it at the Airport. Upon arrival to Mexico, the INM Immigration agent will verify your visa, scan your passport, and give you an entry stamp. Then, he will write by hand for 30 days and Canje. After this, you can create an account on the INM Immigration website to download the digital FMM, as shown in the sample below. Then, you must go to the corresponding INM Immigration office, where you will reside within 30 days, and apply for the Temporary or Permanent Resident Card. Otherwise, the visa will be voided.
MAKE SURE NEXT TO THE STAMP; THE INM AGENT WRITES CANJE AND 30 DAYS.
